It is hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. I guess you can figure it out when you stop seeing the elevated trains and city buses.

Nassau has L trains there is even one as far east as babylon. But yes the point is suffolk is long island and nassau is a part of queens

But those are LIRR trains which are different than subway trains. Yes, they're elevated, but they're not subway trains. I"m not sure if they're running the double-decker trains on that line, but if they are, nobody is mistaking those for subway trains.
