Only been to the City once. Had a job interview and spent nights on Long Island. Was there for a few days, rode the subway, walked around, and partied. Don't know if I saw Queens...
Then went back to Texas. But I enjoyed it. People were nice, architecture was great, and Long Island was lovely.
When the Longhorns win, the Tower is lit up in Orange. Would have been nice for our ORANGE MAN BAD.
The Longhorns were ranked 9th and lost to a team that was not ranked and hadn't won a game. I graduated from UT.
This summer, a number of Longhorn football players came up with a list of demands.
They demanded that "The Eyes of Texas" not be sung at games bercause it was rayciss.
They demanded the stadium be renamed for a Black football player.
They demanded that various buildings on campus be renamed. Since the names were raycissssss.
They demanded 5% of earnings from ticket sales be donated to black organizations and BLM.
They demanded that various raycissssss statues be removed and replaced with new statues of diverse people sculpted by POC.
The first game they played, several players kneeled during the National Anthem. I don't know if anyone kneeled at the beginning of the TCU game but I bet some did.
Did they play their best? No. They got penalty after penalty after penalty. Some of the penalties were bogus but the rest were correct calls.
Sloppy sloppy sloppy. TCU has a decent team but Texas should have easily beat them.

Well - unless you flew into Newark, NJ - you definitely saw at least some of Queens - but probably nothing you would put on a postcard.
I'd rather be living in Texas. personally.

I moved from Austin to Los Angeles in the early 1990s and have watched CA turn into the liberal shithole it is. Of course, Austin is too.
