What do they gain by doing this in China? 1 - They want their people to think killing americans is an act of strength. or 2 - They want the chinese people to think the ccp did a good job handling the virus. If it was 2, only one reason for that kind of propaganda, i seriously wonder what their death tally was. With their aging population, lax healthcare, the no shits given for their people, im guessing around 2 million.

Back in the early 2000s , I had a chance to talk to this Chinese student back in the college. I asked him how he's liking the west and being away from a communist country and he just blew his gasket.
Huffing and puffing how China is not a communist country and how I am lying and distorting the fact that it's democratic country... while he was praising his "Dear Leader" the whole time (I shit you not!)
After his tirade of bs was just about over, I asked him point blank "Then why is your political party referred as the Communist Party of China?" and then he got more agitated and called me all sorts of names, flipped the table and took off. That was like one of the most bizarre experience I have ever had with anyone... till 2016 when I had a similar experience with a liberal coworker after Trump won.
