This HIPAA thing is so basic to anyone who has ever worked in the medical field it should be second nature to them. Even student doctors and nurses know they aren't supposed to divulge information.
The docs at the news conference were probably dazzled by the fact that they were talking to reporters on TV and didn't even think about HIPAA. The clown who is tweeting -- I don't think he's even on the case -- maybe just sneaking a peek at the chart as often happens with famous patients.
I feel sorry for President Trump too. He needs his "deplorables" oddly enough -- I bet there would be a million or so willing to converge on the hospital and guard him 24/7 if need be. But that could never happen. There's all this protocol and tradition.
EXACTLY! I would love to be his personal Pit Bull ... wtf! THINK about any news conference we've ever seen in front of a hospital "The patient is in ICU, Critical Care, Med Surg." If a special surgery is being performed they can describe THE SURGERY. Never never never never can u ever discuss specifics regarding a specific patient. I'm so disgusted w this. My most wonderful President is just violated 24/7 by blood sucking monsters. Makes Pedette sad

All the public needs to know is that he is doing fine and resting comfortably. The rest is none of their business unless the President wants to tell them.
