Yes, I mean this is legitimately how some people end up addicted and making things worse - at first it seems to be helping. I doubt anyone would ever try it if you just went straight to sucking dicks in a tunnel under the city so you wouldnt be shaking and ill any more.
Opiates won't cause a physical dependency like alcohol. It's all a mental battle. You get night sweats, restless legs, and aches, might even puke. You know what would take that all away? More opiates.

Sorry this is just wrong.
The difference between gaba antagonists and opioid antagonists is that shit like alcohol can cause fatal withdrawal.
This doesn't mean opioid dependence is psychosomatic like cannabis dependence or porn addiction.
You very much have a depletion of opioid receptor sites and a buildup of norepinephrine receptors within your nervous system.
It can take months to years to regrow your receptor sites and return to baseline after cessation of opiates/opioids even if the mental element is entirely discounted.
It might not be a lie about the effect, but its certainly a lie about the cause. People aren't shooting heroin in order to overcome cold. If they were, why do junkies not just dry up in the summer? Why are there so many in sunny California?
Well yeah it's a dumb thread. But anyone who has used opiates recreationally, know about that warm wave. You know that perfect temperature your bed gets on the winter? That's the warmth they are talking about. You'd still freeze, but at least you'd feel warm.
They aren't lying though. Opiates definitely bring a warmth over your entire body. But I think I'd rather have a blanket and a bed.
And helps you get that forever rest.
The bigggggg sleeeeep

Or, you get bad pills like my best friends brother-in-law did last week and die.

I should know. It's mental. It's a fight you struggle with everyday.

I'm not doubting that, and I do have some first hand knowledge. But low-key suggesting this is a reason why they're using opiates is absurd.
and not lick a homeless mans tant for the next hit...
