My company is working with a local company to develop a new production management system. We're in a niche industry so off-the-shelf software doesn't fit our needs. The company that we're working with hired developers in Bangladesh. One of the Bangladeshi leads just died from Covid. The local company got shutdown during the 15-infinity days to slow the spread. It has put us a good 6-8 months behind schedule.

In the meantime, our current, aging system got hit with ransomware a few months ago. Luckily, we were able to rebuild from backups and recovered files, but now we have to invest in new PCs, network gear, and added security. .... The forensic analysis revealed the attack originated from Iran.
