Weird, exact same thing happened to me. I had no opinion of Henry Ford at all, but I was trying to remember the 5 dollar a day thing from my textbook, and another student said he was a Nazi, and then the teacher said he enslaved his workers.
My son got in trouble in third grade for laughing at the funny hats some women were wearing during King Obama’s inauguration. How dare a child giggle during this important event while the teacher had the TV on so she could watch and surf the internet at her desk.
Lmao, story time. In my youth I worked at a large facility that would routinely host large black religious gatherings, like multiple day events. A game we had was to find the most insane looking hat, I think they called them crowns. The winner to this day, and I still have the pic somewhere, a lady had on her head what can only be described as the Gramophone from the RCA/Victor logo. I thought suits pretty much only came in Navy, most of the men were dressed like Harry and Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber.
