It used to be key players that were major Trump haters and public about it. I could deal with that. Now things have changed. The entire league endorsed hating Trump and promoting communism and BLM. They paint "BLACK LIVES MATTER" on every court, an organization that said they want to destroy the family on their website and that their leaders are communists. Fuck that. They also wear "GO VOTE" shirts before the game, when they've all but came out for Biden.
Maybe if NBA didn't turn communists and political people would have continued watching.

True, the individuals opinions are there own. If they want to say things off court fine. But if the whole organization is promoting stupid ideas then I don't care.
If they were political on their own time, I could be okay with that. I don't want my employer or my customers dictating my political stances either.
The problem is when they get political during game time, when I'm trying to be entertained by them competing in sport. I don't find their political stances entertaining, so they have stopped making their product. If they're no longer entertaining, I'll go elsewhere for fun. Plenty of content out there.
I'm so far past caring about the NBA I no longer even get joy out of watching LeBron lose.

SERIOUSLY. I've got nothing against people who love to play a game, and are good at it, and can play it at a level where people will pay to watch it. But GEORGE HERMAN RUTH used to paint houses in the off season, because he was also a MAN and knew that a MAN has to WORK for a living. We've been watching some high school football. And it's been surprisingly entertaining! Faster action. Funnier plays. Ridiculous "hail Marys". Shocking runs, kicks, incompletes and touchdowns! It's also surprising how much money some of these high schools are spending on football. Super nice fields, equipment and uniforms.
I didn't care about sports much BEFORE 2016, I stopped watching hockey in 2005ish when they did the year long lockout.
