Before the election of 2016, I firmly believed Hillary would "win" the election no matter what. I thought the Democrats and the Media would steal it for her, even if the nation voted for Trump.

The one ray of hope that I had came from the near-universal endorsement by the mainstream media of candidate Clinton. I knew the last time that had happened was in 1948 when all the media called the election in advance for Tom Dewey. I secretly hoped that the modern media had grown forgetful of history and that they were repeating the same mistake their grandfathers made when they told the public who the winner was before the voting took place.

I couldn't quite believe it when history repeated itself and the proclaimed loser won the election in a walk. Until it happened, I thought our system was too corrupt to allow an outsider to win.
