SC1 has a lot of resemblence to certain Tyrinad, Tau, and Space Marine units... but I wouldn't be surprised if they used it as a starting point then did their own thing...

Well until the writers that murdered WoW got ahold of the StarCraft franchise and completely screwed everything up with Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.

It's very different now, but original warcraft and starcraft were just straight rip offs of warhammer and warhammer 40k. That's Adeptus Astartes armor from the Ultramarine Chapter, from Warhammer 40k. Specifically he's dressed up as an HQ unit equipped with a bolt pistol, a power sword, and an Iron Halo relic.

IMHO it'd be insanely cool if Leman Russ came back from the eye of terror. Leman would indeed offer that drama by disagreeing with Roboute's decision to remain together with Yvraine, can't blame Rob, though. She's like Melania, lol.

Games Workshop is litigious enough they would have sued if they cared and thought they could win.
That was back when they were not nearly as litigious, and it was more a bunch of guys doing hobby stuff then the corporate behemoth it's become.
I love 40K but gamesworkshops can’t exactly cry about people ripping them off, they are some of the worst offenders.

This model does kinda look like Uther from Heroes of the Storm, especially with the clunky boots. But again paladins typically carry maces not swords.
The halo is my favorite part of the model lol! Never played 40k here.
