Rand is not as good as his dad was, but he's still one of few voices of reason in the senate. Possibly the only voice of reason. And I know he doesn't always agree with Trump on everything, but that's a good thing. As president you need to hear alternate viewpoints, no one is 100% perfect and right on everything. Even if that voice (Rand) is wrong, it's still good to hear other viewpoints to make you think, and get the gears turning in your head. No matter how wrong Rand can be on some things, he does love his country and is one of few politicians that haven't sold out or become corrupted by the swamp.
That is what I have always thought of him too. He is probably the most libertarian and consistent voices in the senate, and even when you ultimately go the way with a decision, it is a viewpoint that is rational and always worth the time to consider.
