Prior to RBG's passing, "common knowledge" was the score at the court was 5 to 4 before arguments. 4 minus one is 3, so the court would be closer to 5 to 3, not a 4 to 4 tie.
If ACB is delayed in getting her seat, it doesn't help the Democrats with any "party-line" issues raised before SCOTUS in the next few months.
For the next month, there are other things more important to focus on, like ensuring the next U.S. President is 45 and not 46.

Yeah I’m not counting on chuck John Roberts for anything. Every time it really matters he fucks us.
The wild card is Roberts, though. He can’t be trusted to always vote as a Constitutionalist.
Roberts just has so many things to address and provide explanations for.

We had 12 gun law cases before the court earlier in the year that they had to decline to take because we dont have 5 votes :/
With Roberts it was too often 4-5 in favor of court liberals, especially with recent big decisions. Now it's 4-4. Hopefully in 3+ weeks it will be 5-4 in favor of conservatives.
