The driving route was 85 miles long.

Ohio Highway Patrol estimated 16k to 20k cars based on cameras and observations.

Before the rally they were trying to get 4k cars because that would "fill the loop". I can't even try to replicate their math.

Can we get an app to take snapshots of location during the route at specific times?

Might not capture everyone, but would give a decent indication?

Practicing for the necessary sieges upon our cities.

Encircle the city, disrupt the supply lines, wait for it to crumble.

-Julius Caesar.

Quote from Wiki: His populist and authoritarian reforms angered the elites, who began to conspire against him. On the Ides of March (15 March), 44 BC, Caesar was assassinated by a group of rebellious senators led by Brutus and Cassius, who stabbed him to death.

Some things never change.

(I don't support authoritarianism, but populism is a word tainted by negativity but is literally that which should be good for most of us.)

If you divide up the 85 miles, it breaks down to 22.5 - 28 feet per car. That's packing them really tightly with less than 1 car length between them.

Doesn't sound like these cars are practicing proper social distancing... /s

Is that with cars going both directions?

I like how you think.

I was at this, folks were driving roughly the speed limit and proper following distance between cars. So at 50 MPH with 5 car lengths between, and an average of 25' per car - that's 150 feet of highway per car at speed. Over 85 miles that's only 2,992 cars to be effectively "full."

The photos are actually from the scene of an accident which caused the traffic jam. The accident was unrelated to the Trump parade and actually occurred right before it started. A man had a stroke and crashed. There were injuries but I believe everyone was okay in the end.

Thank you for clarifying that.

But, folks driving 85 miles together shows the passion and the organization that is MAGA.

And, besides, impressive length.

These photos must've been taken in KY or IN because they weren't in the left lane going 45 mph.
