I don't think there is really any logical debate left that it did not escape from the Chinese lab in Wuhan. As bad as this is does anyone feel we got lucky?
The Chinese were researching because it spreads so easily compared to other viruses. The chinese would soon look for ways to make the virus much more deadly or do some bad stuff....
It's a virus that they had not researched it enough or modified it to add really bad stuff to it... this could have been a situation were everyone that got it would be dead in 24 hours. We are lucky imo

I know we like to imagine labs have some deadly, lethal bioweapons that can wipe out the world. Zombie apocalypse. But it does't work like that.
Ebola (hemorrhagic fever) is one of the deadliest viruses known to man. It never spreads very far beyond regional areas. The more serious the pathogen, typically the harder it is to spread.
China intended to release this in 2025 after their "Made in China" project and were finished stealing all western technology. They needed Hillary to help them along, but Trump fucked up their plans and they released the Chinese COVID four years early because China would be defeated by the end of a second Trump term.
Or as shitty as they are, they didn't want a pandemic blowback, so they made covid19 so it would degenerate quickly. Now they are probably aware that Trump will crush them as a result.
