The Pope is not infallible in all things. Not even close. The last infallible statement was made ex cathedra (considered to be infallible by Catholics) was done in the 1950s.

I’m a hardcore Catholic, not a cafeteria fake Catholic, and this Pope says a lot of dumb stuff. That being said, he hasn’t changed the Church’s position on abortion, contraception, divorce, women priests, etc., and he never will.

What he says about politics or economics can be ignored.
