No it didn't teach us jack shit. Are we going to shut down businesses and our entire economy everytime a novel virus escapes into the world?

The next time another pandemic comes you will have half the world's population saying we don't need to do anything because Covid was a scam, and the other half will want us all to lock ourselves in our rooms for months all over again.

Well, it’s not impossible that something truly deadly comes along and we DO need to lock down for real.

Like, if this had a 5% death rate in children instead of 85yr olds - god damn right I’d be locking down.

But yeah, you’re probably right that this has done WAY more harm than good. Since we horribly overreacted, we might have a ‘boy who cried wolf’ situation next time.
