This was confirmed to me by a neighbor this past weekend: they called the local Walmart to leave a complement for an employee but they don’t have a department for such things.
When I worked at Target several decades ago, it was all "Straight across the border" mexicans that didn't speak more than two words of English... and me. Millions of dollars in merchandise walked out the door with them every year. I know this because if you lifted up the bottom shelves in the stock room it was full of boxes for cameras, and other expensive, but easily concealable products (Cell phones and even CDs didn't exist back then, so cameras were the hot items to steal).
It wasn't all mexicans that were stealing, I heard from a friend one white guy I knew that worked at another target got caught stealing by replacing things in clearance boxes with things that were not on clearance.
There was also a black kid who used to hang out with us when we were on breaks. He was a good guy, but always complained about so many black people being on COPS. After a few weeks of not seeing him, I asked around and heard he got fired for stealing credit card information.
Boy, this brings back a lot of memories... Like when the manager called me back on day and told me that I was making too much money on the stock team and that I could quit, or they would find a reason to fire me.
I've worked at a grocery and I can assure you, it's every type of american stocking and facing. Sorry everyone. There is no other job that is quite the melting pot as the store stocker. It's actually not a bad job, but its far more physically demanding and exhausting than you'd think. Even if your'e fit, you go home at the end of the day you are DED tired
Yes, physically but not financially. Every so often I go in and look at the Sunnyvale store, and it's like a deserted ghost town with empty shelves and lonely few employees. Breaks my heart.
I have no idea how they managed to stay open this long. The Palo Alto store is gone now and the large San Jose block sold for redevelopment.
I guess they keep the bricks and mortar open using the online sales. but barely. With them and Radio Shack down, there are no places anymore to walk in and buy parts. This is scary.
Yup 🤣 that Rambo movie was AMAZING btw. I saw it at random the day it premiered bc it was the only movie open in the time alotted for my friend from his family. It was incredible, great cinematography, storytelling and action scenes. I was really impressed w it and it was a fantastic performance by Sylvester Stallone! He put his heart out into it, and I know he facilitated in the production too.
