He just announced today that he will not seek reelection in 2022, and he will retire from politics to take a job in the private sector. Why he would announce that at this time, 2 years ahead of his term end, is suspicious to me.
He was okay for awhile, but yeah. He was probably the best that could have been elected in PA at that time. Remember this was when Trump hadn't flipped it yet.

I saw that Toomey announcement and yes, it is fucky for sure.
What's really infuriating is that Toomey was elected on the backs of the Tea Party aka proto MAGA movement.
Maybe he was one of the RINO infiltrators who destroyed the movement from within by becoming turn coats the second they were elected.
