Watching sports is about cheering For something, the woke BLM movement is against America, endorsing America's arch rivals - Communism, Globalism and Anarchy. We saw the cities burned and looted. We saw the massive fires started. We saw rioters shutting down streets and threatening drivers. The NBA and NFL saw the same thing and declared it was good. Their former fans aren't going to forget that.
If there was a ballot initiative to send everyone in the NFL and NBA to prison for supporting the riots and thuggery, I would vote for it.
DUDE! Our best friend won't even play Fantasy Football the most DIE HARD football fan his entire life. Everything was football he'd spend all kinds of money on apps + games + merch + apparel = DONE! He won't even discuss it.
I will probably never go back to sports now. I quit watching football the WEEK they started kneeling for the anthem and haven't watched a game since. It was hard at first, but I don't even think about it now. Now I cheer and root for the low ratings! This goes for all the other sports too. Nascar/basketball/ never watched soccer, so don't have to worry with that nonsense/ hockey, all of it. Done. I spend my time elsewhere now.
When the mavs were in the finals almost a decade ago I realized the whole thing is rigged. Lucky for us Dirk was too good to stop. James was flopping when no one was 3 feet near him and he'd get the call. Total joke of a sport.
The league has already committed to frequent messaging in ad spots, TV segments, etc. Though they should be held to that for sure.
Not only are you not allowed to escape their racist propaganda on the court, it follows viewers into the commercials, commentaries, and advertisements. It's unbearable to watch. The NBA should pack their bags and move to Iran,North Korea, or China. Trust me. We can fill the void. America existed long before the NBA and will be around after they destroy it.

I don't think they get what happens when someone breaks the routine of watching pro sports. That free time that was once devoted to sitting on their ass and watching spoiled children play games now got turned into other hobbies, and the longer they stay out of the trap of watching sports, the further they are distanced from it. Rosters change, teams fortunes change, and it isn't the same as it once was, and then the person realizes that there are so many other things they were doing that they enjoyed at least as much as sports and they realize just how meaningless pro sports are and just how much their free time is worth, and that will be the point when that former fan never turns another game on again, and it wont even be political at that point.
