The reason I said it didn’t last long was because this was a private school with tons of parents who were doctors, stock brokers, business owners etc. Parents who were surgeons and whatnot got pretty pissed off that their kid was being labeled as a ‘tard and made some threats. Kinda put the new headmaster the school got in a rough place.

They didn’t have a special education department. You basically had to take a placement exam to even be allowed to be enrolled. This was before no child left behind and that bullshit.
