I agree with this. I believe this illness will go down as just another cough, cold, or flu that people catch when they're young. Just go to school and live like normal. I mean, chicken pox parties are thing specifically so it's not as harmless to people as adults.

The whole thing was billed as necessary to prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed, which was what would supposedly cause millions of deaths if people weren't able to get "life-saving care". Except hospitals are not and have never been remotely close to being overwhelmed. Even in the "epicenter" of NYC, Cuomo has since been forced to admit that hospitals were never overwhelmed and they had no need for the hospital ships and field hospitals that were made available.
I repeat, the lockdown was justified as being necessary to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed, which was billed as the only way the virus would be a significant threat. Hospitals are not and never were overwhelmed. Therefor, these lockdowns are unjustified and should've long since been ended.
But instead the narrative seamlessly switched to "we need to keep everything locked down so no one gets sick at all," and the virus is being drummed up as "the most deadly dangerous pandemic to strike the world in a hundred years" all on its own (rather than requiring the caveat of overwhelmed hospitals).
The entire world has been party to the greatest con job perpetrated against free peoples in human history.
All simply to hurt Trump and make it so Democrats can more easily attempt to steal an election.
The strangest part to me is how quickly people on the left not just abandoned that metric but rushed to support permanent lockdowns. They would cut their own throats just to virtue signal. It's insanity.
For everyone I know it became very apparent that this was intended to disrupt the election when the lockdowns were still happening in May. By that point the left had bolted completely past 'two weeks to flatten the curve' and straight into 'if you don't stay home you're killing people'. By that point I didn't know anyone who had contracted the virus but I was supposed to believe it was killing tens of thousands.
