Exactly. The reason why we aren't all driving electric cars is that the demand and tech isn't as widespread yet. Once that happens, and owning electric cars becomes reasonable for the everyday consumer, then gas cars will be the minority.
And California is definitely one of those places. I have 3 supercharger stations within a 10 mile radius. And that’s not counting other (non Tesla) electric chargers

Gotta love the external combustion engine. How do you think you power those stations? How does a battery come in to existence?
