A few weeks ago I was triggering a friend of mine by challenging those statistic to her face. I asked her if she could honestly tell me with a straight face that 1/5 (20%) of her female friends in college had been sexually assaulted.

"Seriously, 20%?"

"Yes."

"20%."

"Yes!"

"You're telling me that at an American university, you and your female friends were getting raped at a rate of places like the Congo where rape is used as a weapon of war? Why would your parents send you there? Why on earth would you have kept going back?"

"Ok, well maybe not rape, but a lot of my friends had some unwanted or weird things happen to them..."

It's hard to get through the brainwashing even when confronted with the prima fascia absurdity of such claims.

Damnit, good catch. I shouldn't plug numbers before my morning caffeine kicks in.

"Ok, well maybe not rape, but a lot of my friends had some unwanted or weird things happen to them..."

That's the problem, right there. Feminism has expanded the definition of "rape" to include pretty much anything involving a man.
