The death numbers, while not even being that bad, compared to infection rates, are still mostly fake. What we know is that this Chinese Virus is very easily spread, and millions of people have had it, without even knowing it. So, if that's the case, it stands to reason that a good percentage of people who died from anything, would test positive for Covid. Those are included in your inflated Covid death numbers. Then remove the nursing home residents that were murdered by democrat governors.

I was afraid for about 2 weeks in March. Death rates were high (yes, we have more data now) and people didn't know what to expect. But now, just about every single report shows that "the curve" of this thing looks just like "the curve" of every other virus.
Was it worse? Kinda... mainly because last year wasn't so bad for the flu, and because there isn't any vaccine.
The hospitals were NEVER overwhelmed. There aren't bodies piling up in the streets. We haven't had any real supply-side shortages in goods directly due to the virus (most of the shortages have been demand spikes - if you flush your toilet more and cook more at home, you need more toilet paper and more food).
We've lost 6 months. For what?
For 250k people (I'm extrapolating) who were probably going to die anyway... and really only about 80k of those died DUE TO covid.
And with one tweet... I hope it catches on. I hope "Don't be afraid" is a new rallying cry. (Even if it is the most oft repeated phrase in the bible.)
I know way too many people who love hiding at home, living life online, "socializing" with others only through Zoom calls, having everything delivered, and shrieking about the danger at every turn (while never giving a thought to those risking danger by delivering all their food and other stuff to their homes.)
That's why they went utterly batshit crazy when POTUS walked out of the hospital, stood on the balcony of his home and very pointedly took off that mask - and then said, "Don't be afraid."

I think it's difficult to lead through peace. It's just not the easy way. Pressing the panic button is the cheaper and easier way for career politicians to maintain their seat. For example, virtually no one on TV talks about how the China flu basically just affects the elderly, because that sort of talk would help put a lot of minds at ease. It's sad that fear and over-dramatizing things are the preferred tools to motivate the masses and push people in the direction you want them to go.
Operations of peace just don't get the recognition they deserve. Even aside from Trump's 3 peace prize nominations, redirecting China's supply chain, building the wall, rebuilding our military, supporting law enforcement and bringing manufacturing back to the US are all about stability and peace. I think the older crowd recognizes this a lot more than the younger crowd, who seems to have more of an addiction to chaos.
