not only that, Sweden never made masks mandatory. they literally never wore masks to this day. this 'little' fact is completely surpressed in the news, and now they have the lowest letality in all of europe
A vast majority of their population didn't take a single day off work.
Their gov't locked down nursing homes, and they isolated covid floors in hospitals. That's it. Literally.
They cancelled events above 50 people. Still is the case go this day.
Also they completely botched the lockdown of nursing homes. They did too little, too late.
Other than that, you’re spot on. Things where so relaxed that rich foreigners were flying in for “holidays in normalcy”, to do shopping and get their hair cut.

to be fair, trump himself said, back months ago when swedens graph was at those higher levels, something about how sweden was trying the herd immunity and weren't doing too good.
i love trump but there's no way he's going to admit he was wrong about something, let alone this, and say the phrase 'herd immunity' in a positive way, which would be admitting that fewer people would've died if we only did what sweden did

Not really. NYC death chart had a huge spike due to retard Cuomo's policies turning nursing homes into death camps, and then fell because most vulnerable people had been killed.
Funny, it looks a lot like the US graph, except we unemployed 40 million people, forced masks on everyone, slumped the economy, and endebted ourselves 9 trillion dollars.

The only thing this lockdown has achieved is to extend how long the virus has remained active in our society. If everyone had gone about there business as usual, it would have been over and done after a month or two.
I'll never get sweden. Rapefugees galore but actually had the common sense not to destroy their economy.
probably a few of those euro countries were told to use the actual correct strategy with the virus that way they could compare their success to trumps 'failure'. they used sensible strategy while advising trump to shut everything down and destroy our economy.

Imho the economy is pretty fucked. They keep raising and inventing new taxes on things like plastic bags and fast cars while simultaneously paying welfare to some shitty people not even living and/or in Sweden anymore.
The public was in no mood to trust the health officials. 10 years ago they told parents to get their children vaccinated for swine flu which lead to some kids developing narcolepsy.
I was told that there was nothing in their constitution that would allow them to force a lockdown or masks, so they just told people to stay home if they were sick.
Right now if my kids get the sniffles they are told they have to stay home from school until the sniffles end, then wait 2 additional days. School is where they have the authority to mandate more harshly, so that's where we see it mandated.
