When showing this note to a girl I am seeing, her response was, "Trump does this for publicity." At which point I simply say, "It seems in your mind Trump can never do anything good, even when he is doing something amazing like this."
It is unfortunate that these people cannot see past their own bias.
I have considered it, and very likely will. I constantly feel like my agency of mind is always being questioned. But then again, I live in the Bay Area and she is so far the only girl I have dated who has a left-center mindset.
I've also thought about that; I have the capital to get a really nice house elsewhere. My line of work, however (thankfully not tech), is booming in this area and leaves me in demand. The corporate ladder is all but mine for the taking here.
The craft thing is, even if he's doing it for publicity.. so what? He's still doing good. It's still getting done which is good.
They said the same thing about Scott Pressler cleaning up trash around the country.
They just want to hate and slander everyone who's not in their tribe. The problem is when it's something that's so objectively good they can't criticize the action, they have to resort to criticizing the motive.
