And this potentially opens the door for future lawsuits against companies that seek to sexually exploit children. One can hope.

You need to do it again. Look into the "WAP challenge"

It is basically the cuties dance, and it is being promoted to little girls on tiktok, likee, and other apps.

They're kids doing it for internet points. These apps are trying to make the movie into real life.

Hijack for Truth:

Sylvain de Zangroniz- The Israeli Producer of this Pedo Shit Show, has had his Wikipedia repeatedly scrubbed, and the web has been scoured to remove his connections to Israel.

Anyone have an archive on that?

Edit: Great replies. Looks like the CEO was all for this show the entire time.

Did the CEO personally approve Cuties even after knowing what was in it?

If yes: Get in the cell, pedo.

If not: I can't justify punishing someone for something they either didn't do or didn't approve.

Either way, anyone else who WAS involved needs speedy trial, death penalty.

24
jtt888 24 points ago +24 / -0

This was widely reported in the news before it aired. The CEO knew.

9
VA-Pede 9 points ago +9 / -0

That would make him involved, then.

Speedy trial, you know the rest.

12
BlackLivesMurder 12 points ago +12 / -0

This was before it even came out They promoted it with posters of the young girls in sluty positions. They got lots of back lash just from the poster. Netflix said sorry but that's not what the movie is about. Than the movie came out and it was about that. So Netflix got even more backlash and they continued to defend the film basically saying this is a film showing how bad the sexualization of children is by sexualizing children. WITH ALL THAT SAID YEA THE CEO KNEW ALL ABOUT IT.

7
friendofno1 7 points ago +7 / -0

If ceo didn’t know about it, then he’d have to be the most uninvolved leader of any company ever. How the fuck does ceo not notice backlash over the poster of one of his movies like a month before the movie itself came out? Obviously bullshit

11
Shadowreaper07 11 points ago +11 / -0

There is a justification for punishing someone for 'lack of knowledge', 'lack of foresight', 'incompetence' or some measure of the above depending on the ranking.

Let me put it to you this way: If you hire a new employee to stack shelves at your multi-billion dollar shop. Said employee has had some prior experience but no formal training, he is unfamiliar with the stock counting system, and as such results in mis-ordering a much higher quantity of stock which cannot be held in storage. Said mistake costs the company money, but it is difficult to blame the employee due to a previous failing by the company for failing to provide sufficient training that could have averted the issue. If subsequent training was provided then it could be argued that this would count as a mark on his record, because it was his mistake.

If you have been in high levels of government, like, let's say First Lady of the United States, and have held numerous high-ranking positions, and are otherwise respected to have a great deal of competency in the legal profession for instance. Or perhaps a director of intelligence, or maybe even a senior member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, it isn't quite so reasonable that you aren't aware of how to sufficiently store data, how data is transferred, and the types of device and tools used to 'Wipe' said data.

There are two options:

  1. Gross incompetency such that they were hired into a position they were never capable of doing - as such, the very act of which could be argued to be criminal - but at the very least means they should have all access and privileges revoked due to the present danger they represent.

  2. They're playing dumb because the rules allow them to play dumb because the deck of cards they're playing with is loaded with aces whilst ours still contain the joker. Because option 1 above sure as hell does not apply with Government at the highest level (at present) - which essentially shows they have intentionally 'looked the other way' (Netflix) or intentionally interfered (above) and are just waiting for it all to blow over.

At high levels, complicity is malicious. Never take it at face value; there's too much at stake for it to be a 'chance mistake' as often as these occur.

Either way, anyone else who WAS involved needs speedy trial, death penalty.

4
VA-Pede 4 points ago +5 / -1

I don't believe in punishing people on just in cases or contingencies, that's commie shit. However, as was pointed out in another reply, the CEO knew and publicly defended it after people caused a stink, so let's get that speedy trial going.

There’s precedent that leadership is responsible for what their underlings do. While this decision is specific to the food, drug, and cosmetic act I can see the reasoning being applied elsewhere.

5
mct1 5 points ago +5 / -0

I can't justify punishing someone for something they either didn't do or didn't approve.

If the CEO didn't approve of this then that would imply he was overruled by the Board of Directors, which makes a whole bunch of people liable for this crap.

When I first read this comment I read it as implying maybe the CEO didn't know what was going on, and that raises an interesting point: Maybe he should have a legal obligation to know what's going on in the company he alleges manages. Put another way: no one should have a blanket limitation of liability and control over how a company operates. A lot of the nuttiness in our world comes from extending limited liability from limited partners to people who properly are general partners. At least when such people were treated as general partners they had a valid reason for their absurd compensation packages.

TL;DR Don't mind me, just going off on a tangent on how this sort of dumb shit happens in the first place because of the perversion of liability laws.

That's how Britains most notorious pedophile, Sir Jimmy Savile got away with it for so long.

His public image was a prolific charity fundraiser, so much so that he was knighted by the Queen for his charity work and it wasn't until after his death that people were able to come forward and accuse him of being a pedophile.

26
Flipbarryfromreddit 26 points ago +26 / -0

Yep!!! He fucked dead ppl in graveyards and the crazies in the mental institution they let him run too. Saville was a devout and open necrophiliac. The royals loved him too. I’m so happy about this news though! Netflix encourages pedophilia! Here comes all the liberal pedos w their REEES arguing the contrary just like they were doing beforehand. Funny how pedophilia is the hill these Dems have chosen to die on. Not surprising considering that dem candidate was just caught tryna fuck that 14 year old boy on video........

Sir Jimmy, a regular churchgoer, was a Papal Knight Commander of St Gregory the Great, as well as a radio DJ and presenter of Top Of The Pops, a contemporary of guests Dave Lee Travis, Andy Peebles and Mike Read.

It's going to be a difficult task for them to legally succeed against netflix with this. However, depending on the judges ruling and wording it could be (at the very least) a step in the right direction setting some type of precedent to build on for other future cases.

Best case though there's some email from obama asking for more underage twerking in netflix programing and he goes to jail with the rest of these sick fucks.

US may get another precedent that clarifies what is and isn't pedo-porn. I expect only good things. If Cuties gets a pass from the law, this may finally stop the bullshit attacks and accusation about drawings in anime and japanese games. If it is legally found to be pedo-porn, it should at least help curb the actual child exploitation in entertainment industry.

1
u_yeetus 1 point ago +1 / -0

In regards to all this, anyone remember the scene in The Simpsons movie where Bart is dared to go skate boarding around town in the nude? And there was the hedge scene where for a second or two it showed his penis, not censored or anything.

Back then I thought it was juvenile and funny being a teen but damn, how is that allowed and not classed as child porn? And there was no outrage either?

If what you are saying is true, then we could only ever prosecute based on what we heard or think the movie is. There are a lot of people who reviewed the movie, posted it on their youtube channel telling viewers how sick and disgusting it is and then reported it. The full responsibility for airing and distributing this smut 100% lies on Netflix, although I agree there were probably some very sick people out there who watch Netflix (given the immoral content on there, including a show that glorifies cannabilism)

3
zwiebelsaft 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sabrina? That show has dumb writing, but unsurprising since it’s associated with Glee.

2
AmberWaves 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not the one I was thinking about, but am not interested in that one either. The one I was thinking about has a girl who works at a hospital and she is a zombie - she eats the patients that die or something. I don't know, I quickly skimmed over it because it made me sick to my stomach.

2
NuclearDreams 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're being a little bit sensitive about that. The show is called iZombie and it's based off a comic book. She was accidentally turned into a zombie because one bit her and so she has a craving for brains. Because of this she "inherits" the person's memory, and because she works in a morgue examining people who died of suspicious causes, she starts helping the police department solve murders.

It's a very goofy crime drama show that doesn't "glorify" cannibalism in any way. Not exactly compelling television to be honest, but it's like one out of a thousand other zombie or cop drama shows out there, just combined into one.

1
AmberWaves 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm pretty sure I saw another on there where there was a couple that the wife was a zombie and they would murder people so that the wife could eat.

Anyway, seems to be a running theme and I hated seeing stuff like that in the suggestion feed.

2
zwiebelsaft 2 points ago +2 / -0

Eww. I thought that Santa Clarita Diet was bad enough, but that's just nasty.

1
AmberWaves 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh my god, that was other one that disturbed me. It showed up in my suggestion feed one day. Can you imagine being a teen and seeing something like that show up on your feed? Netflix is out of control.

0
Pedeville 0 points ago +1 / -1

iZombie? Its a show about zombies lol

2
AccipiterQ 2 points ago +2 / -0

What show glorifies cannabilism?

2
AmberWaves 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't know the name of the show because I feel sick every time I see it, but I think it's one where the nurse is a zombie and she eats the patients that die or something while living a "normal" life.

-1
Pedeville -1 points ago +1 / -2

She eats their brains to inherit their memories and solve their deaths. Its not glorifying cannibalism any more than any other zombie show. Also cannibalism is eating your own species, she's a zombie not a human

1
Pedeville 1 point ago +2 / -1

Its iZombie, its a show about a woman who got turned into a zombie and inherits the memory of people she eats the brain of, so she eats dead people brains at morgues to solve their murders. It doesnt glorify cannibalism at all, or atleaet not more than any other zombie show/movie

21
_deleted_ 21 points ago +22 / -1

Oddly enough, it is not illegal to view child pornography. Only to own it/save it/distribute it/make it. The reason the law exists the way it does, is because you could click a link that links to child pornography but could argue you didn't know what it was. If you save that to your machine, you're breaking the law. Same goes for streaming. Just how you can't get in trouble for piracy if you're streaming someone else's illegal content, you can't get in trouble for streaming something, as you could just say "I didn't know what it was". The fault lies with the provider.

I mean if you could nab someone for viewing, one could set up a child porn server and e-mail links to their enemies, nabbing each one for sex crimes. It'd be easy to take down your political opponents, presumably.

Not all encompassing I don’t think because intent can still be proven without the effort of long term archival. They could prove that you sought it out and that the cookies / metadata amounts to possession.

At least in my dream world.

0
_deleted_ 0 points ago +1 / -1

Right, you're totally correct. But I'm saying the law is specific to having it physically on your machine. They could probably prove if someone sought it out just how you mention, but they'd still be safe by how the actual law is written.

Corporations can't be imprisoned, but can be fined. A guilty verdict in this case would lead to a fine, which would be peanuts to netflix. However, losing a case in one county also signals that they're violating the law in every one of the 254 counties in Texas, insofar as they're broadcasting the film in Texas. The other counties could seek indictments as well. It would also open the door to indicting individuals responsible within the corporation based on information that comes out at trial. I'd anticipate that if there is a conviction, Netflix pulls the film from Texas entirely.

Source: ADA for a county in Texas.

The leadership of a corporation can be jailed for epa violations, why not for child porn?

2
Shoe 2 points ago +2 / -0

If the corporation is found guilty and they do start indicting individuals, would those individuals be charged criminally? Like, could they be at risk of prison time and/or be declared a sex offender?

So you can just go around do illegal shit while at work and then you dont have to go to jail?

I had always been told the CEO of the company takes the brunt of the blame when a company is sued.

Indictments aren't lawsuits.

They're so far removed from reality that they actually made this movie and thought nothing was wrong with it.

2
Pedeville 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, they knew everything was wrong with it, they just thought they would get away with it

Ooh ooh, do Instagram and TikTok next.

They promote accounts of underage girls wearing tiny bikinis.

I’ve tried to report a few accounts for having underage girls in sexually suggestive videos but there’s no option to report that.

I wonder which Obama signed off on cuties. I bet it was Michael. He seems like a kid diddler.

How does Texas have jurisdiction here? Wouldn’t this be a federal court? How does this work?

8
booblitchutz 8 points ago +8 / -0

You can get Netflix in Texas.

3
NazisWereSocialist 3 points ago +3 / -0

That’s an interesting question, it can’t be that everywhere the content is available has jurisdiction.

why not?

it's a good / service offered inside the State of Texas

Would every state in the union be able to file a new case if they’re not convicted in Texas?

1
Pedeville 1 point ago +2 / -1

Not a lawyer but if Texas can do it then the others can probably do it aswell

It baffles me that the people at netflix thought this was a good idea. Like someone had to come up with the idea of the movie, another guy had to greenlight it, some other had to agree to direct it, etc... Like damn, you would think at one point someone would be like "This movie will get us in a lot of trouble, guys..."

5
spez_this 5 points ago +5 / -0

I have been using this 'Cuties' movie to subscriber-shame relatives who claim to be conservative but subscribe to Netflix. I then get to throw in the Obamas and Susan Rice. They push back that there are programs on Netflix that they enjoy, but I just point out how they need to start making sacrifices and do what is right. Same for boycotting the NFL and NBA.

There were serious issues with the movie. You could get the point across by only showing the audiences reaction, no actual stuff going on.
