It was a good move on GEOTUS' part. Shut it down as it was going to turn in to a shit show and distraction going forward. They were not negotiating in good faith.
I don't know. I love Trump but I think most people see this as him not wanting to give people the covid relief they need. I actually feel a little sick to my stomach. I think this was a really bad move. I hope I am wrong.
He passed the first pork-filled stimulus. That's enough. He doesn't have to compromise to those monsters every time. And they should open their economies more anyway. Ridiculous.
You are absolutely wrong. "most people see this as him..." How do you know that? I see it as a great move, and so do all of the people I hang out with. There is NO need to give trillions of dollars to the Democrat ran cities that have been obliterated by their own people. And the Dems prolly let it happen so they could get some fed dollars.

Think of it this way.
What the fuck is the point of doing negotiating when they're just negotiating in bad faith? The democrats won't pass anything without voter ID bans, voter signature verification ban, nationwide mail in ballots, stimulus for illegals.
It just keeps bouncing back and forth and at this point is annoying. Was it the wrong move? Maybe, but if Trump can plaster this all over them by telling people why he won't negotiate when they won't back down on these demands, it'll blow over.

I think either we're going to see Nancy blink and fold, or we're going to see Nancy walk away, and Trump probably through EO force the checks and some other form of unemployment through. Nancy could of had a 1.6T deal that gave her some of what she wanted, but now she gets nothing, and Trump could take a victory of EOing Checks and Unemployment, or playing hard ball to get Nancy to fold. Either way Nancy is in a corner and she knows it."
Trump would have lost support from his base if he supported Pelosi's bill, along with handing over all future elections to a party that thrives on voter fraud.
Trump knows what he is doing. Maybe this move will get Democrat house members to turn on Pelosi as their constituents are demanding help and force her to take all her crap out of the bill. Or Trump knows he is going to win in any case so he is doing what is best for the country and willing to take any blowback for it.
Can't wait for the day Pelosi is no longer in office, though she will hold the seat until the day she passes away.
Remember that the whole Reason Pelosi came back to the table at all was because the Dems were thinking about ousting her as Speaker.
More than likely if Trump does EOs for the Checks and some form of federal Unemployment, the Democratic party is done. Because the whole reason Nancy was holding out (Against the wishes of her own party mind you) was to get the "perfect bill". And if Trump does EO for Unemployment and Checks, She'd have fucked her own party.

I am glad he is not allowing all the money for illegals and stuff. But wish they would just hold firm with what they do want without saying he is ending negotiations. He should have done an ultimatum first.
I think you are wrong. What he is doing is making it a votable issue. Nancy Pelosi is playing games while others are filing for food stamps or going to food banks for the first time in their lives.

Which industry and state do you work in? How were you getting by mid-March through September? If not settling on a terrible Democrat led deal is the worst thing Trump has done in four years, then I'd say he has done a great job.

You're right. People do need help. So petition your local and state governments to open their shit up. That would actually help. It's not on Trump to drag states out of the mess they made. As they have so proudly told him - they don't need his help. You'll never be able to negotiate a good deal with Skeletor and Chucky.
If you are hurting for food, apply for food stamps. I'm not going to tell you how to live your life, but having a nest egg is exactly for times like this. Go to your local food bank or church, they can help with food. Get a part time job as there are a lot of places urgently hiring. Fill out survey's. You can write posts here, you can fill out a survey. Sell shit you don't need.
Not trying to be a dick, but there are many ways to pull yourself out of the hole you're in and since you are aiming for government money, food stamps and unemployment shouldn't be off the table. The also have utility assistance.
