I work at an assisted living facility as a CNA. We haven't had a single covid case this entire lockdown until last month when a man moved in before getting tested first. Our facility which had just finally began allowing visitors again was now forced back into complete lockdown and residents had to remain trapped in their rooms all while managment had to have a few workers dedicated to watching this positive covid resident 24/7 and had to wear full PPE. We became short staffed because people began quitting left and right and everyone still there was on overtime. Some of my coworkers worked over 12 shifts in a row and some of those were 16 hours.
Funny thing is, resident never showed any symptoms and made a full "recovery" after a month ( the tests finally came back negative 3x which is protocol) This whole covid thing is bullshit. And I'm so fucking sick of wearing masks.
