I was for Rand. But when it came down between Trump and Hillary, the choice was a fucking no brainer--something that never Trumpers sill haven't come to terms with.
Trump wasn't my 1st choice. I voted for Cruz in our caucus. Most candidates that win their parties nomination, move toward the center. Trump didn't. Trump remained conservative. I knew then that he intended to govern that way and keep his promises.
I saw Trump speak at CPAC in 2015 and he said he was thinking about running. The excitement around him was surprising to me. He was treated like a rock star. I didn't know much about his politics so Cruz was my choice. By the time he won the nomination I was definitely a passenger on the Trump Train. I haven't regretted it for one day.
I wanted to trust Trump but he was coming in with no experience and such a populist campaign that seemed far too good to be true. So I had severe doubts. Voted for Gary "What's Aleppo" Johnson instead. Never been so happy to be wrong.
I didn't vote in 2016. I hated the Clintons, always have. but Trump was such an unknown quantity for me. He definitely seemed controversial. I never disliked him and I always enjoyed his shows and whatnot, but didn't know how much of his campaign was BS or whatever. Anyways now that I've seen how truly evil and corrupt the DC inside circle is, I don't care how much of a bully Trump is to them. They fucking deserve it.
I was only 17 at the time of the election... so I couldn’t vote but I was on the trump train from the day he announced he was running for president! I remember watching his announcement from Trump Tower and I was a fan ever since. I loved the fact he wasn’t politically correct and was building a campaign that the American people wanted.
I knew I was voting for Trump in July 2015. it was obvious that he was hated by all the right people and I was totally over supporting any sort of RINO. The "you can't trust him" thing was engineered literally by the likes of Glenn Beck and even Mark Levin back then. I really lost respect for the former, and the latter only is in somewhat graces.
I was for Rand during the primary, but as soon as Trump became the nominee, there was only ONE choice in the general: Donald Trump. Sure I was wary at first, but obvious choice was obvious. You don't even have to be a pragmatist to know that the right thing to do is to vote for the guy who can defeat Satan incarnate.
Beck failed that very basic reasoning test and actively used his platform to encourage people not to vote for Trump, which in 2016 was as good as telling people to vote for Satan. Then he followed up over the next couple years by actively undermining all the great stuff Trump was doing. I had the misfortune of hearing his show periodically during my commute, and he even had BLM activists on that he was slavering over in his quest to "reach across the aisle." Disgusting. Beck is not to be trusted.
Now he's bandwagoning. Welcome aboard the Trump Train, Beck. But I will never trust you.
Voted Libertarian in 2016, didn't trust Republicans but Trump has done most all the things a rational Libertarian could ask for. I'm proudly voting strait Republican in 2020 (I've never voted for a Dem in my life).

I literally supported the man since he came down the escalator with Melania.
Same here.... Beck cannot be trusted.
METOO
My millennial daughter is the one who convinced all of us from the elevator- said a businessman is what made sense- boy she hit it on the nail!

This is me too. I was not in the habit of voting and I thought Trump was too good to be true. Try stopping me from voting now.
