Why are we contributing to the fear of something that most of us have a greater chance to be struck by lightening than to die from? I’ve had to stop listening to several ‘conservative’ talk shows because they are promoting wearing masks for ‘common sense’. reasons. Am I missing something? I get it, we don’t want to be jerks, or in some cases get tased. Some of us work for companies that require them, but given the choice why on earth would anyone with a brain choose to do this?

Your last sentence answers it’s own question - “given the choice”. We’re not being given a choice, that’s why people are wearing them.
Well said. I don’t know what I’d do if I lived in MI and Whitmer won’t rescind any of her authoritarian mandates.
I live in Melbourne Australia, so our Premier is just as insane as Whitmer. We have nobody stopping him though, so it looks like our total lockdown of the entire state will continue indefinitely. I can’t even begin to tell you how bad things are. No right to protest, fines and arrest and gag orders for even talking about protesting, mandatory masks everywhere, all the time, not allowed more than 5km from my house, and a Bill that’s passed the lower house that would allow indefinite detention without trial or right of appeal if an “authorised person” thinks you might disobey the lockdown laws IN THE FUTURE. Until last week we had a 9pm curfew and were only allowed out of our houses 1 hr a day - now it’s 2 hrs. The schools have been closed pretty much all year, although nobody under 30 has died of WuFlu in the entire country. At the moment Comrade Dan is planning on keeping mandatory masks during the Australian summer. And there’s nothing we can do to stop him :(
All that for a total of about 1000 deaths all year (almost exclusively people aged over 70) in a country of 30 million. It’s insane, literally insane.
