Have to agree with Brethern123. He was pretty much declared the winner of debate vs Kaine. Pence is substance and style. But stays fiercely on message. He has the classic talent of answering the questions he wished they asked rather than the ones they asked. Keep in mind he was a governor so has executive experience and stature. Also, most loyal VP I have ever witnessed. I expect him to wipe the floor with phony harpee Kamala who possesses neither style nor substance.

I'm guessing that's why Trump picked him. He doesn't need someone to compete with for oxygen in the room.
