It’s not the servers. Denial of service attacks are the problem

I’m not convinced it’s not just a massive amount of autists refreshing the page

Functionally they're the same thing. The only difference is intent. But you probably knew that.

And a lot of refreshers occur here.

It's not ddos. The servers get bogged down whenever there's any decent news - debates, SCOTUS nominee, Trump covid news etc.

I dunno, the dichotomy from one click to the next isn’t like a server issue.

You're mistaken. The DDOS is initiated by humans in response to the decent news. The leftist scum are trying to keep the good news from spreading.

Cloudfare can protect from DDoS attacks up to 400 Gbps of sustained traffic.

There's no way we have 4M unique visitors mashing F5 repeatedly for 20-30 minutes at a time.

I don’t think I’d bet against it. TDW is mucho popular

Given that it occurs when "It's happening!", the "denial of service" is by td.win 'pedes.

Long ago, it was called the "Slashdot effect": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slashdot_effect

Well then the code is poorly written to prevent that from happening. Something one way or another needs fixing.

My boyfriend is a computer programmer and has told me exactly the reasoning behind the malfunction.

Who knows what the future holds for this site, but there’s only a month left before the election. They may not even try to continue as it stands.

This movement is bigger than President Trump and will continue on. This is about Good vs. Evil.

Exactly! My brother today tried to tell me “it’s like rooting for a team in sports, what’s the worst Biden could do?” It’s not like that at all, it’s the life or death of our nation as we know it.

This site would run for at LEAST another 4 more years though.

I’m suggesting the business model might change. Mods, who aren’t being paid currently, might want a slice of the action. Advertising might also make an appearance. I doubt this all expenses paid Trump rally will continue as is.

Time will tell. I hope they can make something on the back side of this venture.

No way. I'm sure it happens at times, but too many people visit at once and crash the servers all the time.
