I see the future of entertainment going back to the past. I think there will be a return to a "vaudeville" type format (nowadays they call it America's got talent). There will be singers, bands, dance acts, comedians, etc. in an entertainment review. There will be more audience chosen "favorites".

There will be a greater demand for stage plays both dramatic and musicals with more opportunities for local talent.

More restaurants will feature some form of entertainment: folk singers, small bands, piano players, etc.

It will take a long time (if ever) for people to trust the film industry again. Too much money and power begets too much evil.

Hollywood is starting to ruin classics and release child porn. The Golden Holly Wood Age, and sport super star worship is over. Cultivate the talents in your own community, but don't loose humanity over your entertainment

There are already a ton of people making good independent content on youtube and other streaming sites. The production values will go up as the advertisers shift in their direction.

In the last year, I've turned more movies off than on. When the plots turn toward satanism, eating babies, celebrating abortion, pedophilia, and hunting Republicans, we need a new kind of entertainment.

Who needs movies? Plenty of videogames I haven't had a chance to play yet...

If you can cut off the media monopolies you'll see something much better rush in and fill the void.

There's plenty of creative people on the right with beautiful stories to tell and the talent to make it happen.

I wouldn't worry about it.

It's not like Art is dying. The world is still full of creative people who will always have the desire to create and share.

All of the studio grade software and technologies that used to only be accessible to the big entertainment monopolies decades ago have been available to the public for almost 20 years now. Just look at all the really amazing stuff on YT that was made by some teenager in his/her spare time. The continued proliferation of technology with ensure that everyday people can create creative content and share it with the world without the need for publishers and middlemen.
