The way to get rid of lobbying is to get rid of corporate taxes. The lobbyists are out there lobbying for tax breaks. If no corporations paid taxes the playing field between small and large companies would be even and corporations would have nothing to lobby for. The way it is now, the big companies don't pay corporate taxes because they've lobbied for a loophole and the small companies cannot compete.

Corporate taxes, when they are paid, are not really paid by the corporation, they are passed through to the consumer. In the case where the company cannot pass the taxes through you can be sure they are economizing by cutting wages to the bone.
