Or the flag of the supporters of states' rights and individual mandate. Seriously, the Civil War is more complex than us (or US) versus them. The "Stars and Bars" never meant "racism" or slavery to me. It was a great symbol of being a rebel, in the best senses of the word: iconoclastic, unyielding, and proud. So, make of that what you will.
