it may also be good to know that, even though this revolt failed, it was followed by a much larger rebellion. which Caesar also put down.
this roman conquest of gaul, oddly enough, led eventually to the High Middle Ages.
Was that when Caesar was ‘campaigning’ to avoid prosecution? Or, was that later?
