I was chatting with my friends online as we watched it live. I’ll throw some of the gems we had in here:

—-

Just like renowned failure Chris Wallace, this moderator also feels that giving their personal interpretation of anecdotal evidence and then using it to segue into a loaded question is absolutely the worst example of fair and balanced moderation.

—-

It was impressive that he managed to wipe the floor with both her and Biden's foreign policy. He accurately called Biden a Communist Cheerleader for China and then dismantled her stupid argument about the trade war in a single response.

—-

Anyone who watched the Democratic debate in Detroit where Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand whined at each other about abortion, Roe v. Wade, the Hyde Amendment, and their faith-based views would know she is a pants-on-fire liar.

—-

Just like Biden. Zero substance, regurgitating completely debunked lies, and barely intelligible.

—-

She's lying her ass off. Fact checkers have a buffet of bullshit on their hands. They're not even intricate lies. She's not even reciting the media-spun stories correctly. I'd be surprised if even the most democrats even support her debate performance.

—-

She spent half of her debate trying to prop up ol' Sniffy instead of actually answering anything.

—-

Paraphrasing but she called China a dear friend and ally as well as an economic foundation for America. And then said she agreed with what her dear friend Joe Biden told her in that governing foreign policy is a lot like personal relationships and you just have to be friendly to your friends to know how to negotiate with foreign governments. 🤣

Basically any foreign government, minister, or dignitary that could outwit a dog by pretending to throw a ball would be able to take advantage of or dismantle our government as long as they are friendly.

—-

Absolutely. To her credit, she did spend almost half a sentence mentioning how our economies are currently intertwined. A travesty which is nice to see unraveled at least somewhat.

But then she sandwiched that with pandering to China by saying how well our allies agree with Chinese dignitaries instead of President Trump and that America lost a trade war with China which is the direct cause of jobs lost in America.

Nevermind the fact she was one of only 10 senators to vote against the USMCA.

—-

That part infuriated me. Her lies about the trade negotiations costing American manufacturing jobs are completely false. It's glaringly obvious that her and her boss are in China's pocket. Her voting against USMCA tells us everything we need to know about her political intent. American futures sold to the highest overseas bidder. I can't deal with that shit.

—-

Very much agree. You rarely see VP's or politicians in general put on a debate like that. Well before my lifetime to get the last one for sure.

Smooth and calm, yet pointed and eloquent, great at off-script and on-point topics. I think he could have used a slight pace change to help deal with the moderator's incessant whining, but that was a pretty obvious Grand Slam.

Kalama came off as indignant, and had barely any grasp on her own or her party platforms. It felt like she did her debate preparation with Jim Acosta.

—-

I was talking this over with someone the other day. We were talking about the timing of COVID and how everyone has fucking amnesia. Anyone who isn’t oblivious to the outside world was aware what was happening in China at the end of 2019. It’s just that we all had to do the flip-flopping Democrat dance to call Trump a Xenophobe for wanting to close borders and suspend international flights.

She’s of the same mindset of the people claiming Trump is downplaying the virus.

When it comes to downplaying the virus, why doesn't anyone bring up when Dr. Fauci claimed that we didn't need to wear masks in the U.S, or Pelosi telling people to come to China Town and roam the streets — after Trump puts a ban on flights from China.

Even the CDC website said masks are useless at one point.

Trump raised his concerns about coronavirus all the way back in his State of the Union address. The one Pelosi tore up because she’s a drunken imbecile.

Sometime in January, Trump's medical advisers sat him down and GREATLY exaggerated the threat posed by the Coronavirus. They used false projections to explain to him that millions of Americans would die.

This false narrative was a ploy to have him either shut the country down - and wreck his economy, or have him ignore their dire warnings and face immense backlash once Americans started dying.

Trump chose the former. They didn't expect him too. They thought his hubris would be his downfall. They underestimated how much he values American lives.

Somewhere after that briefing, the interview with Woodward occured. Trump did believe the virus was deadly, based on what he was told.

His explanations are exactly what you would expect a leader to say - taking it serious but not publicly as to cause a panic.

He chose the wisest response, given his options - none of which were very good. Woodward was obviously pressing to get him to admit he didn't think it was a very big deal - to go with their original angle. Trump didn't budge. Again, hubris.

Fast forward to today. We now know the virus was not as big of a deal as what was predicted. Millions did not die. Those that are being counted as Coronavirus deaths, are more likely deaths due to other causes falsely labeled as Coronavirus and those that did truly die and suffer as a direct result of COVID-19 are now being blamed solely on the President.

I don’t fucking think so. Contrast Trump with Pelosi. Trump is telling the public not to worry, continue on with your lives, while behind closed doors hes taking the threat seriously. Pelosi is telling the public to close their businesses, stay inside, hide their face - while she does the exact opposite when out of sight. That hag goes and gets a hairdo while telling everyone else that going outside is akin to murdering your grandparents.

In March people were planning nationwide “Hug a Chinese Day” in France and Italy because Trump was so xenophobic by trying to shut down borders with China.

A good point that Pence brought up about swine flu. In the same vein, is if Trump is in the wrong, what the heck was the Obama administration's response to Ebola then? Because publicly they came off as if they didn't give two shits. I always assumed they were taking it seriously behind closed doors, and not alerting us publicly because that would be irresponsible. But if that is the wrong approach, given how Trump is treated, then I wonder if the Obama administration had a plan for Ebola at all. It seems apparent they didn't have much of a plan for Swine Flu either. Both of those were insanely more infectious with tens of millions infected worldwide and no one decided to close down America or blame the President for either of those.

Unless I missed something along the way, the Democrats narrative is absolute lies and propaganda.

Thank you u/knightpatriot for the excellent summation, I couldn’t bring myself to listen to Harris for even one minute. She’s similar to Hillary in that the more you hear from her, the less you want to hear from her. I’m glad the VP shut down her bullshit.

I wish they thought it was the worst example ;P

ugh sorry for anyone watching any Democratic debate anywhere... I had to suffer hearing Harris for a few minutes tonight while administering IV fluids to a dear patient tonight and it didn't feel especially enlightening lol

Seems most of the lefties thought Harris performed poorly but I was really struck by their incessant claims that Pence kept lying. I never saw a single claim about what any lie he may have told even was! Pence clearly stated that he was proud to serve as understudy to a President that believed in the sanctity of life while Harris never dared to articulate an impassioned defense of near-birth or even post-birth killings of innocents. Harris wouldn't even talk about the elephant in the room of court-packing while Pence committed to not abusing the legal system.

I've posted a clip here where China LITERALLY faked a service outage on their CNN feed while Pence was talking about China. If Harris got her way, that'd happen to us here and everywhere else on the planet. NO THANKS, I'd be glad to die attempting to prevent that horror.

Lost a trade war? Only if Dem tyrants keep getting away with banning life. I had to go to an outdoor short ceremony, while wearing masks, that was a poor substitute for my grandmother's funeral last Friday!!! Kids were playing around a few yards away at the skate park with no masks!!! My last meeting with my grandmother was a few weeks earlier and we had to talk through a screen window and I wasn't allowed to hug her grrrr.... Trump has done more for non-elites so fucking fast than anyone in decades and proven he can do it again if only Dem tyrants are ousted or let it happen....

Yeah, again Trump [re: border restrictions due to CCP virus] was fighting for the "drastic" measure that would have been the best with his border closures. With Trump it always seems like a triangulation between what obviously would be the right thing to do and something more watered down because in this state of crazy propaganda it might end our Republic.

I remember at the start of this, Dr. Oz was talking about how you should get N95 masks because maybe they could reduce infection risk, but the other masks only maybe helped you not spread to others if you were already sick and showing symptoms and coughing. Bit off topic, I'm sure if I looked into it Dr. Oz has said a ton of things I'd disagree with, but I really respect him for covering Epstein's crimes on multiple episodes when "news" shows wouldn't. And he also covers less well-known rape cults and honestly lets victims say their piece and I'm really appreciative that at least someone on network TV is acting like the things that are most important and actually most important.

Sometime in January, Trump's medical advisers sat him down and GREATLY exaggerated the threat posed by the Coronavirus. They used false projections to explain to him that millions of Americans would die.

Back in January I was extremely worried about it based on videos / reports and so on out of China that I found mostly though posts on China-owned Reddit and prolly would have given the same advice. Every day that goes on I just feel no one knows wtf happened. I recall the words of a victor at the Battle of Little Bighorn... he said he'd read articles and books about what had supposedly happened there from people who were no where near it... but from his perspective, actually there on the scene and trying to fight... the horses kicked up so much dust that no one honest could claim to have seen much of anything at all.

Yeah, I agree about Trump being "rash" or "reactive" or whatever on the surface, for media reasons I suppose... in the video of him on Oprah decades ago he seems as careful and reserved as Mike Pence, even though he was obviously keen to the benefits of name recognition back then.

If I've been privileged with anything it's the time and ability to research things out and... the Dems only seemed nice when I was laughing along with Comedy Central propaganda and so on.
