Good morning patriots

Last night was certainly ⚡ Electric ⚡. I am not sure how many seconds 2 minutes is but it seems that men get about 50 and women get 180. Women also seem to be able to rebut as much as they want. Even with this inherent disparity Pence proves once again why he is the best vice president and why Trump's love for him never wavers. Feel free to discuss this debate here. Moderator wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Way better than Wallace.

The questions were as bad as I expected. They were designed to make statements.

Read the book Pre-Suasion: A Revolutionary Way to Influence and Persuade by Cialdini

Describes what these debate questions are - they pack in multiple assertions of fact and then expect the person to debate under that framed view of the world

Scum-baggery

Yep. They try to get candidates to buy into the faulty premise before answering!

This is true but it looks like Pence was prepared for it. Take the climate change question for example. Pence answered about the administration's conservation goals without conceding that the question's premises were true.

Yes I agree he was prepared for it and did great - but it took the right 30 years for the right to build up a defense against this, and the amount of ground that has been lost over this social blitzkrieg has been devastating

Nice reference. The harsh part of presuasion is that we are susceptible even if we are cognizant that we are being persuaded. Pence was just like “fuck yo question Susan”, not sure if pence is human or a cyborg sent back from the future.

I think reading Cialdinis 2 books is what red pilled me, I read them to get better at marketing and sales.. but after I read that it was just like the move "They Live" everyone who used these tricks on me became my enemy

Aren’t debate questions supposed to open ended and the same for both candidates? Like “what is your foreign relations policy and why is it better than you opponents”?

Yes

Wallace is setting the bar VERY low.

  • Her questions were terrible, mostly recycled twitter garbage, and not really meaningful stuff. Most were biased against Trump.
  • She interrupted Pence was more than Harris, while Harris talked 3 minutes more than Pence.
  • She was far more interested in asking her questions, than letting the candidates talk.

Can't stand Wallace. Still can't believe that theTrump campaign agreed to have him as moderator. Wallace has for a very long time been anti Trump. Surprised he's still on FOX, although FOX does have its shills, probably upset CNN won't take him.

fox is now part of fake news. Paul tyan is on the board and they hired donna brazile who helped clinton cheat on debates in the last cycle. Fox has zero integrity. With out Tucker and Judge Piro fox would be dead.

Don't forget Dobbs, Hannity and Angle. But I agree Tucker is currently holding FOX together. Otherwise can't stand FOX.

Her questions were part of the debate, i.e. propaganda.

Notice that she asked different questions to each VP candidate.

For example, she asked Pence why America had one of the highest death rates in the world from COVID. There are all sorts of lies built into that question, starting with the fact that most of those deaths occurred in 5 Democrat states.

By asking the right questions, she lets Harris present her best case, while always having Pence on the defense.

Of course, Pence was too smart for that, and he made sure he got his points in anyway.

Really? That moderator was so bad. Every question for pence was a loaded question. Every question for kamala was a soft ball. Wallace was way better

3
IAmTheSenate 3 points ago +4 / -1

That's fairly normal for the incumbent side. You get put on the defensive about your record. Obama/Romney debates were much the same

1
Swolehas 1 point ago +2 / -1

It wasn't like that when Wallace moderated though. Wallace had good questions for both candidates, he was just annoying with interruptions

2
IAmTheSenate 2 points ago +2 / -0

I mean, the mod directly asked about SCOTUS packing. Direct question to Harris.

She also asked hard questions to Pence and he did a good job with them

I was not annoyed by the Moderator

She asked some good questions that neither of them answered.

I knew the media would declare Kamala winner either way, but I didn't know Pence would win so impressively. Sure enough, media declared Kamala the winner.
