When Kamala dropped the 3 military smears on Trump and they tried to change the topic - he demanded a reply and she wouldnt let him - then he used the first half of his next air time to go back to it
I think if ever there was a time Pence could have interrupted was during Kamalas smear of Trump there - if he would have been like "no stop right there, you have on proof on any of that, all proven false, unacceptable"
Kamala was able to appeal multiple times for a response - that one they wouldn't let him have it
He did well but IMO he could have gone buck wild for 1 minute on that one
It's not in Pence's nature to go buck wild, that's Trump's job. If you go back to the 2016 debate with Tim Kaine, Kaine repeatedly got agitated, shouted, and insulted/defamed both Trump and Pence during the debate, while Pence stayed calm before delivering surgically-precise retorts that completely dismantled Kaine's entire narrative.
If the moderator had actually been fair and the questions hadn't been so BLATANTLY loaded in favor of the Democrats, it would have been an even bigger blowout in Pence's favor.
