They're the predator of essentially no one. But they do have a knack for quietly and slowly getting what they need done while no one is looking, withstanding the attacks of far more vicious predators and coming out on top through sheer determination not to get taken out.
I have to say, I finally understand why Pence is VP. I might even be able to imagine him as the presidential candidate in 4 years or so. Perhaps, at that point the deep state will have been subdued to the point that they will let him lead without interference. Not sure.
I still to this day don't know what happened for Trump to pick Pence out of the crowd as his VP nominee but I am incredibly glad he did.
I like to imagine he just pulled 30 senators/house reps/governors and made them interview for it like he was interviewing for a corporate executive position at one of his companies.
Picking VP for the ticket doesn't require senate confirmation or any other stupid tricks Govt uses to keep Govt influence in Govt.
Everyone else Trump nominates has to have a bit of swamp for them to get confirmed, or else end up like Ric G (based AF mofo) and bounce around with interim titles.
Lions and Dire Wolves are apex predators.
Turtles?

Turtles are only occasionally deadly. And usually only when stuck in a predator's throat.

I’ll get back to you after ACB is appointed before Halloween to see how you feel about it.
Hey the Turtle has been MUCH better under GEOTUS Pede but my distrust of him goes back years!

And both are absolutely lethal to those that oppose them.
