He needs to broadcast his own audio feed too. Mic cutting is all but guaranteed at this point.

Good news is Joe does EVEN WORSE on these remote sessions though.

If his campaign taped him while he also did this, he could simulcast to the point where people would want to know what he was saying, and then would go to his simulcast to see what he said. That would force people to go to his sites and even his YT with his videos. This would get people to see videos they've never seen before.

I think this is a good idea, actually.

It's also a subtle signal to the media that they can't be trusted to be fair, because you know the spin will be "we have to go remote bc the Trump family are super spreaders."

The Biden team doesn’t have a great track record with tech when they’re just dealing with a teleprompter, a camera, a mic, and one guy in his basement. A setup like you’ve described would require they be able to intercut prerecorded clips with live footage very quickly so “responses” aren’t too delayed. Of course he’s been provided the debate topics ahead of schedule, so the prep isn’t the problem, but the coordination needed would be unthinkable given how they’ve bungled the simplest of technical shit. Hell, Biden would probably end up wearing a different tie for the live feed than in his pretaped responses and nobody would notice until it was too late.

Also, town hall format doesn’t really lend itself to such a thing (assuming the audience isn’t asking questions they were told to ask).

It will just look like Max Headroom.

It'll be fine the media will report he won easily.

Mic cutting is all but guaranteed at this point.

Trump should climb all over the scumbag media for this:

FIRST the media goads and prods candidates to respond directly to each other rather than through the moderator. Against their will, candidates grudgingly comply.

NEXT the media insists the candidates be allowed to engage in a verbal fencing match, with extended arguments and fireworks upping the ratings.

THEN Donald Trump saunters casually onto the scene and takes ownership, pounding away effortlessly at even the left-wing extremist moderators in the newly established format

NOW the media suddenly reverses and insists on decorum, quiet, one person speaking at a time, no interruptions, no arguing or we'll cut off your mike, etc.

Trump should lambaste them with this little story every single chance he gets
