Before watching the debate last night I'd never sat down and listened to Harris speak for any amount of time, nor had I ever heard her freely respond to questions. I knew I disagreed with her record and her politics, and I knew how she got to where she's at right now (heels up after all), but I guess I just assumed that despite all that she'd certainly have a bare minimum of intelligence to be a VP pick / senator / prosecutor.
I was flabbergasted to witness how dumb she really is.
I don't mean "dumb" in an insulting sense or as a derogatory -- I mean it as an observation and a statement of fact. She's not smart. She was slow, easily confused, and reactive. There were several questions she didn't answer, not because she was dodging, but because it was clear she didn't understand what the questions were even about.
When she got stuck on a question she wanted to avoid, she was a deer in the headlights and she got flattened. It wasn't "nerves" (you don't get to where she's at without being resistant to getting shaken), no, her brain was overclocked and overheating trying to come up with a response.
There were too many times where you could tell she was happy her time ran out because even as she was talking she knew her answer was off the rails and she couldn't stop it. There were also too many times where she horrifically botched an obviously-pre-canned talking point by saying it wrong or introducing it into a non-related question.
The shocking part to me was it looked like she was at her best last night and yet this is how she performed. I don't think it was "just a bad night" for her. Kamala Harris is just that dumb.
Wow.

She reminded me of a lot of underqualified women I've seen in STEM. Most women are perfectly equal to men in a lot of ways, but every once in a while, a quota hire will slip through the cracks. When these women (often with one or multiple masters degrees from an esteemed self-validation machine) are dead wrong about something, and get blown the fuck out in a meeting or negotiation, they'll start with the classic bitch attitude... Giving glances and glares that smack of complete disrespect, sucking their teeth, smacking their lips, side eye, tonguing their cheeks... Just a bunch of completely unprofessional tells that would get ANY man demoted or fired. Men are not permitted to show such weakness in critical career moments. Why should kamala get a pass while running for the second highest office in the land? Lots of my liberal friends said they thought she "crushed it" / "did great." I just saw a woman with a coddled career get completely outclassed, and then she imploded in front of America. Not impressed with her at all. Muh glass ceiling lol. I wouldn't hire kamala to represent me in a small claims dispute, much less have her lead a major prosecution, or.. you know.... The free world..
And you thought Obama was the Affirmative Action candidate ...
She didn't get ahead using her brains. That's for sure.
Her head is what got her ahead.
Very much so, kind of surprised you have not already seen this, it's been on slow for over a decade.
if you look at her performances in senate hearings, you can see it.
Her performances in the Senate Judiciary Committee have been equally bad and that is with her reading from a script. There is no depth behind her.
These two sources, yes Wiki has some good links here too, are very informative:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terence_Hallinan
Where you see he was the classic leftist child model 2 or 3 gens earlier: leftie parents, hyper wealthy elite life, unhappy social childhood, acting out/violent, actually radicalized in higher ed, and being mentored and taught how to work the system in protesting and avoiding legal consequences overall. It was then a non violent civil disobedience we now WISH today's groups were doing combined with following in his father's legal career footsteps.
and this gives a longer version of that and the rest:

As well, older SF Chron stuff from the era is pretty brutally direct.
Short version would be any civil rights activist and drug freedoms type would be easily elected- but....
...TH promptly did what Chesa Boudin is currently pulling, with more aggression and far less estb support.
And there was minimal homelessness or other community issues allowed, more graft and corruption and nepotism than today (I know I know), particularly in politics and govt tied jobs.
Back then if you got on the wrong side of SFPD, CC, wealthy fams, powerplayers etc you were done for politically. Willie Brown made them play nice initially, but it was one conflict and arrest and prosecution after another tied to LE- I will say warranted and the public wanted it- and repeated public feuds. Finally it was too far and support from the political powers went from tolerate and make it work to withdrawn and openly put on another. And he retired from public office.
Key point of that may well be his organizing the evidence for prosecution of powerful Catholic Church peeps- the ones immediately NOT prosecuted by KH when elected...
Yeah, but she sucks a mean cock.
Not to mention a nasty, old one.....
You should have listened to her in the Kavanaugh hearings.
You're correct, she's extremely dumb. Her low IQ is obvious to anyone who watches her.
I had the same reaction last night. Since her presidential bid, I quickly saw her as a arrogant, dishonest and vain but I expected that she would be a shrewd if not intelligent person. I watched the whole debate last night and within a few minutes only, it was already clear that she is, in fact, stupid as well as repulsive.
Generally people who need to suck off Willie Brown to get a job aren't really able to get by on their intellect.
It was so obvious... of course, we know her springboard to fame was being the side piece of a disgusting, elderly California democrat.
I remember the first time I heard of her, obama was praising her for her looks or something, I knew that moment she was a dangerous socialist... and to watch out.
She's not a socialist though- that entire narrative is simply hanging the Dem Party with the faux support given.
What she IS is a Hillary neolib globalist power hungry acolyte.
And it would do the right well to expose Her hand in this elevation to power at the top.
