i like the guy's ideology, but he did fold under pressure and plead guilty to what later turned out to be not a crime, based entirely on a threat that his investigators had evidence they did not in fact have.
Not sure that getting faked out twice like that makes for a good resume to lead primary arm of federal law enforcement.
Why? As POTUS’ private lawyer he can offer advice and there’s more confidentiality.
As POTUS’s private attorney he was able to fly to the Ukraine and investigate on behalf of his client, as an official WH advisor he couldn’t.
And since he is a private attorney, he couldn't do anything WITH that information. Barr obviously shit canned it.
