I used to believe the climate change lies. There is only one problem. I’m over 50, and I remember the crazy news reports from the 70’s and 80’s. I have also seen things get better. The air quality in LA used to be far worse. Because of technology and better cars, the air quality has improved. I now don’t believe anything the politicians say about climate change.
When I was in 1st & 2nd grade in the late 80s they talked about how the planet was cooling and NYC was going to be under a glacier. It gave me nightmares. Then when that didn't work they flipped it to global warming. When that didn't work they changed it to 'climate change'

Ambient temperature change of ~+0.1C increases the thermal energy released from a reaction? It has been a few years since I took organic chemistry but I don't recall that being a factor. If it is warmer around the reaction then the heat from the reaction would disperse more slowly as the temperature gradient is smaller, but the thermal output from the reaction wouldn't change. Funny how they stopped calling it global warming but still refer to every aspect as an expected increase in temperature.

In conditions where there's higher temperature and extended drought there would be less green vegetation and a lower water content in the combustible materials. Higher moisture content requires more heat (energy, not temperature) to bring the fuel to a combustible state, this saps energy from the combustion and cools the fire. Less water would yield more heat liberated in the process, which would result in a hotter fire.
All that's predicated on there being low-moisture conditions.
Regardless, it was a stupid assertion on the moderator's part.
Yeah these guys clearly don't live anywhere near any wooded areas in California. There was a metric assload of dead vegetation covering those areas, which is literally fuel for the fire and why it hurts hotter than a properly managed forest would. The left screams cLiMaTe cHaNgE, because of the drought we've been going through for awhile that has stressed millions of pine trees, leading to the bark beetles going hog wild and the trees dying. They just neglect to include the fact that their regulations prevent anyone from cleaning up those dead trees and vegetation, and their regulations prevent logging companies from operating and therefore clearing and maintaining logging roads which would be used by firefighters to fight those fires.
Even if climate change is to blame for the source of the dead vegetation, and even if man is to blame for that climate change, the forests still need to be cleared or they will burn out of control, as they are doing right this moment.
Some of these retards like to blame the Feds bc it's Fed land, as if they and their Sierra Club friends don't sue those Feds to prevent them from properly managing those lands.
Blaming climate change for the fires burning hot is like blaming your BBQ when your meat is burned to a crisp. Well who was in control of it, fuckstick?
