The biggest problem with the impeachment is that they knew it would fail 100%. They knew that for all their efforts, no matter how they voted, it would be pointless. Except was it? It was basically tax payer funded opposition research and a generator of never-ending CNN headlines. Want to talk about abuse of power, how about utilizing the full power of congress to try to take down political opponent when you know for certain you don't have the votes.

Yeah it certainly severed it's purpose. All of the info to the contrary barely got any coverage. That's why 99% anti Trump comments involve Puttin.
