They poll real Americans! It's just that they poll disproportionately in favor of dems. Often something like 50% dems, 25% GOP & 25% Ind. That has a tendency to influence the polls. Doesn't impact what actually happens at the ballot box though. Hopefully the fake polls lead to the same shock we saw in 2016.
