My father was not supportive.of me marrying my wife. He was not happy about our decision to have children of our own (long story). But since his grandsons arrived, he has started coming around more. Even took an interest in how his granddaughter is doing. BIG STEPS for our relationship, and his relationship with my wife. It took some time, but it was worth it.
