You're absolutely right, I feel the same. The Republican party abandoned me after Reagan, I switched to Libertarian until Trump. Trump represents the working middle class Americans that produce everything that supports this country. Trump cut my taxes. The last president to do that was Ronald Reagan.

Yep. Once you take this red pill, the last 30 years of American history suddenly make a lot more sense.

The 92 election showed both sides that there were truly undecided voters in the middle, and for a while both sides began to pander to the middle, trying to tap into those voters, believing their “base” would never abandon them.

You saw more and more RINOs as the “moderate” swath of the middle got wider and wider. But it was always RINOs, never DINOs. Why? Because conservative platforms are always more popular. You don’t try to sneak into office on an unpopular platform, to try to implement the popular platform.

But this pandering to the middle did alienate the conservative base. Combined with Democrats push even further left with Obama resulted in the popularity of Sanders in 2016.

Trump reinvigorated the conservative base by by being unabashedly supportive of core tenets of conservative voters. Democrats have now pushed even further left, alienating moderate voters. Which results in more RINOs. There are too many conservative voters in this country for them to get majority support for their platform. So they push it hard where they know they CAN get support, while running “moderate Republicans” where they can then subtly push leftist agendas once they are in office

We have to get involved before the primaries. The party will only let losers on the primary ballot against incumbents.

I 100% agree with you but I'm really scared. I feel really scared that our country is going to be destroyed by the Democrat/Liberal menace. My family immigrated here, I am a first generation immigrant. I feel demoralized and scared.

edit: I find it very funny that the Democrats love that Steve Schmidt now hates Donald Trump and love that GWB is soft on Biden and idiots like Kasich and Ryan like Biden. Jeff Flake too. This to me, tells me that these people weren't actually Republicans, they were just people there to grease their own wheels.

Amen fellow pede!... both left and right have sold out America. Bush, McCain, Kaisich, Romey all supporting Biden. Are you kidding me?! What does the Deep State have on each of these traitors?

Don't forget Bob Dole.

Ask Bob Dole, what Bob Dole thinks about Bob Dole, and Bob Dole will tell you. I liked Pat Buchanan

The problem is that “someone good” comes around once in a generation.

Trump has made his own party. He’s doesn’t play by any of the rules. He’s not republican, he’s certainly not democrat. He is the trump party. Any patriot running for office from here on out will run under the Trump party and it’s a wrap.

In most places, deciding who the candidates are is far more important than the general election. There are not that many places that swing between parties. The far-left Democrats figured this out which is why they have become so radicalized.

Part of the problem was a lack of "someone good" on the conservative side. The requirements for a successful candidate are pretty steep: 1. a clean record, 2. actual conservative ideals, 3. courage of their convictions, 4. a modicum of charisma. (I remember being very disappointed in the choice of Bob Dole to go against Bill Clinton's second term; Bob had 1, 2, 3 but completely lost to Clinton on 4.) Additionally, the pool of eligible candidates is thoroughly polluted with globalists and degenerates, making them easily controlled by the nefarious individuals behind the scenes.

Ross Perot, Ron Paul. Just to name a couple. The corrupt right steered by the Bush crime syndicate fucked the world. And boomers ate it up!

GWB was the WORST thing to happen to not only this country but the Republican Party. Absolutely horrific. The mere fact that almost his entire administration has endorsed Joe Biden should be evidence enough of how disgusting his time was. Trump was left cleaning up the mess that was Bush, and now we are in a literal dogfight for our country. I'm scared, I am seriously very scared.

We ran Republicans who talked like Democrats and thought like Democrats - arguing against Democrat plans using Democrat created counter points.

Unfortunately Republicans dominate the private sector - so individuals would have to take a pay cut to get into public service. Democrats on the other hand, are """community organizers""" and other retarded shit - who actually get a pay raise when they get into politics (and funnel gubmint $ to their spouses consulting firms)

Don't make the perfect the enemy of the good.

Nobody who is honest is going to agree with you, personally, 100% of the time. People here with such high standards of "purity" attack our friends and allies constantly.

Every. Damn. Day.

Sow division, lose the vote.

its an uphill battle, RINOs and Democrats serve the deep state/NWO. The RINOs have been less public about it though, while the Democrats recently have been publicly endorsing and supporting deep state/NWO policies.

The deep state/NWO needs to go first.

Absolutely, we should have been nominating Ron Paul.

The Republican Party has been remade in Trump’s image. Donald Trump is only the beginning. The Trump doctrine has become the Republican platform. No new wars, fair trade, boarder security, peace through strength, America first. There will be another Trump. Maybe even a better Trump. No one will win the Republican nomination without being in the mold of Trump for a long time.

If only the 2008 Vice President/President ticket was flipped, we would have had a chance at that time.
