I'm starting to think democracy simply cannot work when a population gets too large. No trial, no jury, hang his bloated corpse from the Washington Monument as a message.

History has taught us Democracies sound good on paper, but they always fail. Ours won't even out last the Roman one. It's headed to the same fate though. A kind of dictatorship followed by ruins. In our case the dictatorship will be through global government rule. Humans have been controlled for the vast majority of time by feudalistic like systems where elites, their military and useful idiots rule over huge numbers of serfs. We always seem to return to that system one way or another.
